Bocoy

A large barrel or cask for storing liquids, particularly used in Caribbean or Spanish colonial contexts; also spelled bucoy.

From Spanish 'bocoy' or 'bucoye', borrowed from Taíno (Caribbean indigenous language) 'buokei'; the term traveled through colonial trade networks.
