Bonaventure

A piece of good fortune or luck; also a name referring to the medieval Italian friar and saint known as a philosopher and theologian.

From Italian 'buona ventura' meaning 'good fortune,' combining 'buona' (good) and 'ventura' (fortune/chance). The term became especially associated with Saint Bonaventure, a 13th-century Franciscan scholar.
