Boötes, a large constellation in the northern sky, often called 'the Herdsman' or 'the Plowman.'

From Greek 'boōtēs' (βοώτης), literally 'cowherd' or 'herdsman,' from 'bous' (cow) + '-otēs' (agent suffix). Named by ancient Greek astronomers who saw the constellation's pattern as a man with cattle or a plow.
