Borazon

A synthetic abrasive material made from boron nitride, nearly as hard as diamond and used for grinding and polishing.

A brand name (trademark) coined from 'boron' plus 'azon' (perhaps meaning 'horizon' or created as a coined term). Introduced by General Electric in the 1950s.
