Plural of botrytis; the disease or mold caused by fungi in the genus Botrytis, which creates gray mold on plants and crops.

From Latin plural of botrytis (from Greek botryos, bunch of grapes). The disease is called 'botrytis' because the fungal spores cluster in grape-like formations.
