Having the shape or form of a bract; resembling a thin, modified leaf as seen near flowers.

From Latin 'bractea' (thin metal plate or leaf) plus Latin '-iformis' (having the form or shape of). The '-form' suffix is from Latin 'forma' (shape), used extensively in botanical and biological terminology.
