Breaststroker

A swimmer who uses the breaststroke, a swimming technique where you push water away with your arms and legs in a coordinated way.

From 'breast' (Old English breost) combined with 'stroke' (Old Norse strøkkr meaning 'movement'). The term emerged in the 19th century as competitive swimming developed formal technique names.
