Breviger

Having short legs or limbs, used in zoological descriptions of animals with relatively reduced leg length.

From Latin 'brevis' (short) + 'ger' (bearing or carrying, from 'gerere'). This zoological descriptor appeared in the 18th century for systematic animal classification.
