Bus

A bus is a large road vehicle that carries many passengers along a regular route, usually for a fare. It is commonly used for public transportation in cities and between towns.

Short for “omnibus,” from Latin “omnibus,” dative plural of “omnis,” meaning “for all.” The original term meant a vehicle “for everyone.”
