Butenyl

In chemistry, a group or radical derived from butene, used in naming organic compounds.

From 'butene' plus '-yl', a chemical suffix indicating a radical or group (similar to methyl, ethyl, propyl). The '-yl' suffix comes from Greek 'hyle' meaning wood or matter.
