Relating to or containing calamine, a mineral zinc oxide compound used in soothing skin treatments.

From Latin 'calamina' (zinc oxide ore), derived from Greek 'kadmeia' (Cadmian earth), named after Cadmus or the ancient region of Cadmea. The term evolved as metallurgists classified zinc compounds.
