Calopogon

A genus of orchids native to North America with magenta or pink flowers and a distinctive beard-like structure on the lip.

From Greek 'kalos' (beautiful) and 'pogon' (beard), referring to the prominent bearded lip of the flower. The plants are sometimes called swamp pink or grass pink orchids.
