Calycocarpum

A type of plant genus characterized by having a fruit enclosed within or closely associated with a prominent calyx or cup-like structure.

From Greek kalyx (cup) combined with Greek karpos (fruit). The term was coined in botanical Latin to describe plants where the calyx and fruit are notably integrated or where the calyx becomes part of the fruit structure.
