Camarasaurus

A large sauropod dinosaur from the Jurassic period that walked on four legs and ate plants.

From New Latin, combining 'camera' (chamber, referring to the hollow cavities in its vertebrae) and 'saurus' (lizard). Scientists named it based on the hollow structures in its backbone.
