Candlewicking

A traditional embroidery technique using thick thread or yarn to create raised, textured patterns, resembling candlewick texture.

From 'candlewick' (the wick material) plus '-ing.' The embroidery technique is named for its resemblance to the thick, textured appearance of actual candlewicks.
