Capricornid

A meteor or meteoric particle that appears to radiate from the constellation Capricornus during the Capricornid meteor shower.

From Capricornus (the constellation) + -id (suffix denoting particle or member of a group), following the naming pattern of meteor showers like Leonids and Perseids. Named for the constellation from which they appear to originate.
