Capsulorrhaphy

A surgical procedure to stitch or repair the lens capsule of the eye.

From capsulo- plus -rrhaphy (from Greek rhaphē, 'seam' or 'suture'). This medical term emerged in the late 1800s as eye surgery became more sophisticated.
