Carbarn

A barn or storage structure specifically designed for holding or protecting carriages and cars.

Compound of 'car' (from Old Norse 'karr' meaning wagon) and 'barn' (from Old English 'bere-ærn' meaning barley house). The term emerged in the early 20th century as automobiles became common.
