Catachthonic

Of or relating to subterranean or underground realms; chthonic, especially as applied to ancient deities and mythology.

Variant of catachthonian, using the -ic suffix instead of -ian, derived from Greek katachthonios. Both forms are used interchangeably in mythological texts.
