Celiitis

Inflammation of the abdominal cavity or peritoneum, combining Greek terms for belly and inflammation.

From Greek 'koilia' (belly) + 'itis' (inflammation). The '-itis' suffix became standard in medicine during the 19th century for describing inflammatory conditions.
