Moving or directed away from cells; especially used in physiology to describe nerve impulses or forces moving outward from a central point.

From celluli- (cells) + -fugal (from Latin fugere, to flee). Opposite of cellulipetal; both terms were coined in physiology to describe directional movement relative to cells.
