Relating to the Celts or their languages, culture, and traditions, particularly those of ancient and medieval Europe.

From Latin Celticus, from Greek Κελτικός (Keltikos), derived from Κέλται (Keltai), the Greek name for Celtic peoples. The term was revived in the 18th century as scholars began studying these ancient cultures.
