Ceramidium

A spore-bearing or reproductive structure found in certain red algae and fungi, particularly in the Ceramiaceae family.

From Greek 'keramos' (pottery/tile) combined with '-idium' (a diminutive suffix meaning small structure). This botanical term describes the microscopic reproductive organs of these organisms.
