Ceroxylon

A South American palm tree that produces a valuable wax coating, often called the wax palm or candelilla palm.

From Greek 'keros' (wax) and 'xylon' (wood), the scientific name for the high-altitude Andean wax palm found in Colombia and Ecuador.
