Chakra

In Hindu and Buddhist traditions, one of seven energy centers in the human body believed to regulate physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

From Sanskrit चक्र (chakra) meaning 'wheel' or 'circle', derived from the root चक् (chak) meaning 'to move'. The concept evolved from ancient Vedic texts describing spinning energy wheels along the spine.
