A genus of flowering plants in the evening primrose family, characterized by their tall spikes of pink or purple flowers, also known as rosebay willowherb.
From Greek 'chamae' (low) and 'nerion' (oleander plant). Despite the name suggesting lowness, many species grow quite tall.
