Cholecystitis

Inflammation of the gallbladder, usually from gallstones blocking the bile duct or from bacterial infection.

From Greek 'chole' (bile) + 'kystis' (bladder) + '-itis' (inflammation). The fully Latinized form became standard in modern medical terminology by the 1800s.
