Cholesterolemia

The presence of cholesterol in the blood; the modern medical term for what was formerly called cholesterinemia.

From the modern term 'cholesterol' (replacing the older 'cholesterin') + '-emia' (blood condition). This became the standard term in the 20th century as 'cholesterol' became the preferred name.
