Creases

Lines or folds made in material, paper, or skin, usually from bending or pressure.

From Middle English crease, possibly from Old Norse kros (cross), since creases often cross surfaces. Another theory links it to Old French creisse (thickness). The modern spelling settled by the 16th century, and the plural simply adds -es to the singular form.
