Daiquiri

A cocktail made with rum, citrus juice, and sugar, typically served cold; originally from Cuba.

Named after Daiquiri, a beach near Santiago de Cuba where American soldiers were stationed during the Spanish-American War in 1898. The drink was invented there and named after the location when American soldiers brought the recipe home.
