Depart

To leave a place, especially to begin a journey. It can also mean to move away from a usual way of doing something.

From Old French *departir* meaning 'to divide, to separate, to leave', from Latin *dis-* ('apart') and *partire* ('to divide'). The idea of separating or going apart turned into the sense of leaving.
