Erupt

To burst out suddenly and violently, like a volcano sending out lava and ash. It can also describe sudden outbursts of emotion, noise, or activity.

From Latin *erumpere* 'to break out, burst forth', from *e-* 'out' and *rumpere* 'to break'. It first described physical bursting and later emotional and social outbursts.
