Eucalyptus

A tall, fast-growing tree native to Australia with aromatic leaves that are often used in medicine, oils, and candies.

From Greek 'eu' (well) and 'kalyptos' (covered), referring to the tree's flower buds which are covered by a cap-like structure. The term was coined by botanists in the 18th century.
