Expression

A way of showing what you think or feel, especially through words, the face, or art. In math, it is a group of symbols that represent a value.

From Latin *expressio* ‘a pressing out, representation’, from *exprimere* ‘to press out’. It kept the sense of bringing something inner to the outside.
