Galeria

A roofed promenade or corridor open on one side, or a shopping mall (especially in Latin contexts).

From Italian 'galleria', derived from Medieval Latin 'galeria', possibly from 'Gallia' (Gaul) or from a Germanic root meaning 'hall'. The architectural term evolved to describe covered walkways and shopping spaces.
