Garvey

A small, flat-bottomed fishing boat or rowboat, typically used for coastal fishing and cargo transport.

Origin uncertain, possibly from Irish 'garbhóg' or a proper name. Used primarily in Irish, Scottish, and New England maritime communities since the 1800s.
