Impossibly

In a manner that cannot be done or achieved, or to an extreme degree that seems beyond possibility. Often used for emphasis to describe something extraordinarily difficult or unlikely.

From Latin 'impossibilis' (not possible) via Old French. Formed by adding the negative prefix 'im-' to 'possible,' with the adverbial suffix '-ly' added in Middle English.
