Issue

A topic or problem that people are thinking about, discussing, or arguing over. It can also mean a single release of a magazine, or the act of officially giving something out.

From Old French “issue,” meaning “exit, outcome, or a way out,” from Latin “exitus,” meaning “a going out or result.” Over time, the meaning shifted from physical exits and outcomes to abstract problems and topics that “come out” for discussion.
