A month is a unit of time, roughly one-twelfth of a year, used in calendars to organize days. Many months have 30 or 31 days, except February, which usually has 28.
From Old English “monaþ,” related to “mōna,” meaning “moon.” Months were originally based on cycles of the Moon’s phases.
