Olive

A small, bitter green or black fruit used to make oil and eaten as food; also, a yellowish-green color.

From Old French "olive," from Latin "olīva" meaning "olive, olive tree," from Greek "elaia." The tree and its fruit have been important around the Mediterranean for thousands of years.
