Reflect

/rɪˈflɛkt/ verb

To reflect is to bounce light, sound, or an image off a surface, or to think carefully and deeply about something.

From Latin *reflectere* meaning ‘to bend back’, from *re-* (back) + *flectere* (to bend). It started with the physical bending back of light and later extended to the mind ‘bending back’ to think.
