Reindeer

/ˈreɪnˌdɪr/ noun

A reindeer is a large deer that lives in cold northern regions and is known for its antlers and for pulling sleds; in North America it is also called a caribou.

From Old Norse *hreindýri*, from *hreinn* (reindeer) + *dýr* (animal, deer). The ‘rain’ part in English is just a sound change, not related to weather.
