Visitor

A visitor is someone who goes to see a place or person for a short time, not as a permanent resident.

From Old French “visitour,” from Latin “visitator,” meaning “one who visits or inspects,” from “visitare,” meaning “to go to see.” It originally included official inspectors as well as social guests.
