Watercraft

A watercraft is any vehicle made to travel on or through water, such as a boat, ship, or jet ski.

“Watercraft” combines “water” with “craft,” an old word for a vessel or a skillful creation. “Craft” itself comes from Old English “cræft,” meaning “strength, skill, or trade.”
