Anezeh

/ænɪˈzeɪ/ noun

Definition

A Bedouin or Arab tribal group, or a member of such a group; also refers to a type of Arabian horse bred by these tribes.

Etymology

From Arabic 'Anaza,' the name of a historic Bedouin confederation known for breeding fine horses and camels. The word entered English through colonial and orientalist texts.

Kelly Says

The Anezeh were master horse breeders who created bloodlines so pure and valuable that Arabian horse records today still trace ancestry back centuries to their herds—they invented selective breeding before anyone had scientific terms for it!
