Antidogmatic

/ˌæntiːdɔɡˈmætɪk/ adjective

Definition

Opposing or rejecting dogmatism; willing to question established beliefs and ideas rather than accept them without question.

Etymology

From anti- (against) + dogmatic (asserting beliefs without proof). Dogmatic comes from Greek dogma 'opinion.' This philosophical term became popular during the Enlightenment and scientific revolution.

Kelly Says

Science itself is fundamentally antidogmatic—scientists are trained to question everything, including Einstein's relativity or Darwin's evolution, which is why science keeps correcting and improving itself!
