Definition
More loose and droopy in fit; having more baggy qualities than something else.
Etymology
Comparative form of 'baggy' (from 'bag' plus '-y' suffix meaning 'resembling or full of'). The comparative adds '-er' (Old English '-ra').
Kelly Says
Baggier clothing trends are often responses to culture and the economy—in the 1990s, hip-hop made oversized, baggier silhouettes cool and rebellious, which was partly because you could hide things and because tighter clothes were associated with oppressive fashion rules. Fashion is always secretly political.
