Definition
The collective body or class of baronets; also, a book or register listing baronets and their lineages and privileges.
Etymology
From baronet + -age suffix. Baronetage as a formal register became especially important in Britain where baronets (a rank created by King James I in 1611) required official genealogical records.
Kelly Says
The 'Baronetage of Great Britain' is a fascinating book that reads like a Who's Who—it contains detailed family trees and property records that have made it invaluable for genealogists, historians, and anyone curious about how British nobility actually connected through bloodlines.
