Relating to the cerebrum and the pons, the part of the brainstem that connects the midbrain to the medulla.
Etymology
From Latin cerebrum (brain) + pons (bridge). The pons was named by Renaissance anatomists because it literally forms a bridge connecting different parts of the brain.

The cerebropontile angle is actually the most common location for a specific tumor (acoustic neuroma) doctors screen for, so this anatomical term has real clinical importance even if it's not a household word.
