A genus of swiftlets, small birds found in Asia that are famous for building nests made entirely of their own hardened saliva.
Etymology
From Latin 'col-' (together) and Greek 'kalos' (beautiful), though the name specifically refers to these remarkable cave-dwelling birds native to Southeast Asia.
